M3 Stuart WIP

  This Stuart is one of my favorite builds at the moment. This version is about the third try, numbers one and two being way too big for the treads I'm planning to use. This one is the right size for the treads and it still looks as close as possible to the original.

Just a little view on how I put the turret together. Man, it was difficult!  

Spaceship!

  This is the result of an attempt to make a Spaceman Spiff spacecraft. Unfortunately the windshield isn't circular in shape like it's supposed to be and even though I tried, my lame attempt at making the ship itself the right shape wasn't exactly successful.

Hovertank

 This was one of those builds where I just started building. No planning or anything just started building and let it decide what it was going to look like. Anyhow it's a one seat hovertank with 105 mm. mortars for bombardments. The driver controls the tank via a holographic control board projected overhead. It is fitted with the latest armor technology  and nothing besides a direct hit from a 230 mm. shell will damage it. In fact it is so safe that many pilots liken driving it to "playing a video game where you can't die or be destroyed."

Here it is in attack position with the 105s raised to bombard an enemy position. The effective range is 5 km. It can also fire over hills.

Mini Mech.

  Best mech I've ever been able to make. Still doesn't mean it's good. See for yourself.

Generic, horrible legs, bad gun, I could go on but suffice to say this isn't gong to win any awards. However that being said I still like my arm and torso design and the way they work together to make some cool poses (now if only I could make some better legs).                                                                     

Here it is with it's point defense shield protecting it's torso while it fire with the SMG in it's right hand.

       

LAV III

   The LAV III is a Canadian designed and built LAV or Light Armored Vehicle. It was built by General Dynamics Land Systems and is the primary mechanized infantry vehicle of both the Canadian army and New Zealand army.  It has a top speed of 100 kph and has an eight wheel drive. Although the turret gives it a higher center of gravity than originally anticipated it is does not roll over easily except on unstable terrain. When it came into service during the Gulf War it was highly admired by our NATO allies.

   Even though I think that this is one of my better builds I'm still not entirely happy with it. Too short, a little too tall, turret not right. I'm probably going to go work on it once I finish this post so expect a version 2 later on.

   And there it is, the minfig scale interior. When I began this I didn't think I would be able to do it but I guess I proved myself wrong. Anyhow, you can see the troops seats and the fire extinguishers (those little red thingies). The real LAV III holds 7 soldiers while mine holds about 4.

   Turret doesn't turn but you're still able to climb through it to the gunners seat.

 

   The gunner and commander's seats are set on a turntable so you can turn it like it turns in real life. It's a bit cramped but it works. And in front of them is where the driver would be but I couldn't get a minifig in it.

   And finally here it is with the top removed so you can see the interior.
   Overall I think this is the best vehicle I have ever built even though it does need some work. I plan to lengthen it by a few studs, redesign the turret, see if I can get a minifig to fit in the drivers seat and see if I can shorten it at all.
 

Wolf Mecha

   Recently I saw a hardsuit where the builder had used the monster fighters werewolf head for the head of the hardsuit. I had recently gotten the set and since I had no use for the werewolf I had simply put it aside until I thought of something. After seeing the hardsuit I was inspired to build my own and this was the result.

I thought the piece I chose for his breastplate was just perfect. That little tubular thingy on his right arm is a mini blaster. I also like how I used the wing pieces around his head.

Public Enemy #1

   One thing that's always bugged me with my legos is that I have never been able to build a really good hardsuit that would be suitable for mass production. So yesterday after getting a few ideas off the internet I went ahead and built a hardsuit. These look a lot better than the ones I did a blog post about a while back and they are very easy to build. So without further ado I give you the most dangerous mercenary group in the galaxy, Public Enemy #1!

The commander. This guy is the one who invented the suits and started this little mercenary group. He has two quick draw Extinguisher pistols and four 40mm. grenade tubes. Always trying to figure out how to squeeze every last drop of profit out of his clients he is devious and smart.

Doc is the teams equipment specialist. He designed all their weapons and he is always ready to hack through any security system. He uses a type 3 pulse rifle with a grenade launcher. He also has a harpoon gun on his left arm allowing him to swing along like spider man.

Heavy is the teams heavy weapons expert (naturally). He uses two quad 90 mm. rocket launchers as his primary weapons. Luckily he's ex-military or the forces produced by these weapons would knock him down every time he tried to shoot. He also has a chainsaw on his right arm.

 Freddy is the team noob. Not very good at this criminal thing the only reason he is on the team is because he is a crack shot with his sniper rifle. He also has a jump pack and a x class light homing missile launcher.

 And then there's brute. Never said much to anybody since he joined the team but he is one of their most valuable assets. He uses his booster jets to zoom over to his enemy while deflecting their shots with his shield and then smash them with that big club. He has killed more guys than anyone else on their team.
