Red Team Forces.

Red team forces are here! Plus a new expansion for the battlescape.
Pretty basic terrain. I needed a buffer between the two bases.

It's only connected in one spot so I can easily take it apart. I would have liked to segue the tan into the rock more but I was running out of parts.

The waterfall. The only other bit of terrain worth mentioning.

These three mechs are what I built first. Scout mechs designed for speed not one-on-one combat with a heavy mech.

Then I built this oil tanker.

And these two light interceptors to combat...

This! A ground attack plane for the blues. It needs to be called in from a orbiting carrier whenever needed since blue base doesn't have a landing strip yet.

    A little Hummer inspired jeep.

   Couple of hover tanks.

Changed the colour scheme on these dudes as well.

And built two rail gun carriers for blue team.

Now I just need to buckle down and complete red base. I should just do it and get it over with. That's what I did with these guys and I finished them all in a little over an hour.

Micro Marine Base Expansion.

This is honestly the most fun I've had building in  a long time. And I'm not one to brag, in fact I'm probably my own best critic, but this is looking great.
I added a new landing pad and control tower. Also, two more missile turrets.

Now, the two mechs that took me hours to get right. They originally had these real stubby legs with no articulation so I busted up this other mech that I had made and gave them new legs.

My dropship landing. This is like version 3.  I really like the booster technique.

   Small side door thing.
The reason the cockpit is so small on the mechs and the dropship in relation to the marines armour is because the marines armour is more like a large hardsuits.

And my hovertank.

It was originally only one stud wide between the two side pieces but that was too small so I changed it up.

   Boosters on the bottom.

   Group shot.

Now I need to get to work on the opposing forces. They will be a bit harder and probably not as fun to build as these guys. Let me know if I missed anything.

Microscale Space.

This was an odd build for me because I didn't buckle down and completely finish it in a couple of hours. In fact it took me working on and off three days. It seems overkill for the size but I think since it turned out good in the end that I prefer working like this.
Overview. Originally it was supposed to be a human base holding off against robot invaders. Instead they are now a military force that have started a war over this planet for a naturally occurring gas that requires little refining. Because, who wants to have a trade agreement when you can just start a good old fashioned war, right?

The gas is suctioned into a large container but first small impurities and waste is burned off in the detachable top unit.

The barracks. I made this at the same time as the marines and it's definitely my favourite bit of the whole build. It was originally completely gray along with the marines and other buildings but I introduced the blue/gray colour scheme to brighten things up a bit.

A little marine working on the missile turret.

I added this in last night when I was building up the base of the build and it just brings the whole thing together. It's the command center. That's a radio tower on top.

The four marines I was able to build. Guess which one's the commander.

Robots/enemy soldiers. The design for these was my inspiration for the whole build but I don't think they look as good as my marines.

   Hold the fort guys!

I was inspired to do this by the great mini Starcraft builds people have done even though Ive never played the game myself. I would like to make a little base for the bad guys too.

EDC.

My Every Day Carry. Everyone should have one.
My well worn multitool is first up. I got this for my 11th birthday and I still use it every day.

It has pliers, wirecutters, knife, saw, phillips head screwdriver, three other blade headed screwdrivers, awl, and file.

My chinese made folder. This was a recent buy and is surprisingly good quality for a chinese made knife. It's heavy with a very comfortable handle and it's assisted opening so I can open it one handed.

My tactical pen. It doubles as a pressure weapon with that hardened domed end.

You can unscrew it to get the handcuff key too.

And finally, my wallet. In this I keep my healthcard (because Canada, eh?) some other odds and ends and whatever money I happen to have at the time which ranges from nothing to 20$ to 200$ dollars at times. So if you want to rob me it's the luck of the draw.

Now you're probably wondering what this is doing in a Lego blog. Well, short story, I don't have time to make a whole new blog for some little things I want to post. I'll probably be doing some airsoft stuff later.

Urban battle for the info.

Remake of my Suburban battle for the info that I finished on Friday.
Overview.

The APC with it's machine gun covering the road.

The stairs. This was the first part of the build.

Guarding the walkway. The grass looks really overgrown but then again the city's under attack. Who cares about lawn care?

The interior. I just noticed those plates that aren't stuck all the way together. Now that's going to bug me because the builds already gone.

I added this cubicle with the windows in yesterday while taking pictures.

The rest of the building is pretty bare.

No minifigs.

I wanted to make this with all new gray but you can see where I had to start using old gray.

The building section is held in place by a handfull of studs. The yellow and brown part of the base is thanks to my brother.

Walther P-38

This was my first commission, my sister wanted it for something, and my first stab at a real gun. I think it turned out well and I had fun doing it which is more than I can say for most my builds. All in all it only took about 20 minutes.
It's smaller than real life but that was on purpose. My sisters request.

Trigger guard and handgrip.

Exposed hammer. My least favourite part of the build.

And the barrel. Definite favourite part of the build it also took me the longest.
